Our History

Originally founded in 2007 and nurtured by the Global Scots Network, our Foundation supports world-class development for high potential individuals at the early or mid-career stages. The people we believe will be the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and contribute to Scotland’s success.

A registered, independent Scottish charity, our foundation is a non-political, not for profit organisation led by our committed and active group of Trustees who are business leaders drawn from key sectors in Scotland and internationally. We share our mission with our sister organisations, the Saltire Foundation USA and the Saltire Foundation Canada.

Since 2007 over 895 people have taken part in our programmes all over the world in a diverse range of sectors including education, energy, engineering, fashion, financial Services, food & drink, life sciences, manufacturing, oil & gas, property, tech and transport.
