Saltire Canada

The Saltire Foundation (Canada) supports the development of the next generation of future leaders through its support of the ESF’s Saltire Scholar Program and is one of the various charitable arms of ESF.

The Canadian context of Entrepreneurial Scotland was founded around the historically large diaspora of Scottish migrants in Canada. Canadian supporters have been making a difference in Scotland by enabling “life changing” experiences for our Saltire Scholars and Fellows in Canada since the Saltire Scholar Program was first launched in Canada 2017.

Canada is as attractive as ever to young students and the Saltire Foundation (Canada) has great potential to foster a continual exchange of ideas, policies, and business development between Canada and Scotland, to the benefit of both countries.

In 2021 we will expand its network and increase the number of Saltire host companies, raising awareness for the overarching mandate of the Entrepreneurial Scotland Foundation and the culture of entrepreneurship.

There are lots of different ways you can support our Foundation in Canada. You can host a Saltire intern at your company over the summer and diversify your talent pool while providing a world-class opportunity for the next generation. You can sponsor an intern financially to help find a placement in their field of interest, enabling them to realize their potential and to gain valuable global insight for their professional development. Or you can help us open doors. If you know someone who wants to "pay it forward" or can help support young entrepreneurs, let us know!
