Come join us and take part in our Emergency Simulation workshop, in partnership with UNICEF.
Worried about crisis management? Want to see how you measure up under pressure? Want to hone your time management and decision-making skills? Then this immersive, Emergency Simulation workshop is just for you.
You will be placed in an emergency situation [earthquake] and assigned a role within one of the co-ordinating teams. Battling with internal and external pressures you must ensure that the decisions you make best meet the needs of the millions of children whose lives were turned upside down by the disaster. With severe damage to houses and public infrastructure, supplies are urgently required; what is required to provide clean water, prevent outbreaks of disease, continue education and protect the most vulnerable children? That will be up to you and your team…
The simulation focuses on information management & time sensitive decision making. Teams must work together to sift through information against the clock. It is a great opportunity to put your team building, communication and prioritisation skills to the test while exploring some of the challenges UNICEF field staff face in an emergency.
