These popular events provide a unique opportunity to hear from a successful business leader who will share their insights into building their career and company. Recent speakers include Fender Musical Instruments Corporation's Andy Mooney and BrewDog’s James Watt.

Recent speakers include Professor Heather McGregor, Executive Dean, Edinburgh Business School; Formerly Mrs Moneypenny, Financial Times. 

View first-hand how a successful business operates on a day to day basis with a member of the company leadership team who will provide insight and knowledge about what has supported their business to be successful. Recent visits include a behind the scenes tour of Skyscanner and Walkers Shortbread.

These focused and informative events for up to 12 guests are held in a private dining room over dinner, enabling established companies to discuss a strategic topic in great depth with entrepreneurs who
have direct experience in that field. Recent focus dinners include 'Change Management' with Jim McColl OBE, Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive, Clyde Blowers Capital Ltd and 'The Trials, Tribulations and Successes of Family Businesses' with Paul Grant, Mackays. 

Our masterclasses are hands-on workshops that explore a selected topic in detail. Previous masterclasses have covered topics such as team culture with Mike Welch, Blackcircles.

These are events hosted by our partners that encourage entrepreneurialism and collaboration in Scotland and beyond.

Throughout the year, we host informal, social events offering an excellent networking opportunity in a relaxed environment. These are an opportunity to talk about business and anything else that interests you. All new members are encouraged to attend these events.

Eligibility Criteria and Code of Conduct

Entrepreneurial Scotland is for people who have an entrepreneurial mind-set, a commitment to share openly and honestly and to give back more widely into the ecosystem.  Members of Entrepreneurial Scotland network must agree to the principles of honesty, upholding Chatham House Rules and no selling within the network.

Our network tiers make sure you get the right membership experience wherever you are in your career or leadership journey.   The eligibility criteria for each tier is based on the business or organisation a new member is leading (and controls) or is employed by. New members will be assessed based on trading turnover. For this tier the requirement is a turnover greater than £1m (or equivalent value). Membership of the network is a personal membership and is not transferable.  Our Membership Committee deals with all applications in a strictly private and confidential manner.
