Response to First Minister’s speech at Impact Fest today endorsing Entrepreneurial Scotland’s strategy and announcing new investment

In a speech today at the Impact Summit at Barras Art and Design in Glasgow the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, endorsed Entrepreneurial Scotland’s strategy and announced new Scottish Government funding to back our growth.

Here’s a link to the Scottish Government’s press release:

In response to the First Minister’s announcement, Sandy Kennedy, Chief Executive of Entrepreneurial Scotland, said:

“Today at the Impact Fest we have seen first-hand the ambition and determination of Scotland’s future leaders and entrepreneurs. It was a fitting occasion for the First Minister to announce the Scottish Government’s long-term investment in Entrepreneurial Scotland.

“This investment is not only an endorsement of the progress made by Entrepreneurial Scotland over the past four years, it backs the delivery of the next phase of our strategy which will be published next week.  We in turn have committed to reinvest Scottish Government’s support back into the entrepreneurial ecosystem over time.

“We have much still to do and will work ever more closely with likeminded organisations across the public, private and third sectors.  We have a long way to go but I believe we are now on the path to becoming the most entrepreneurial society in the world.”
