Maureen McGuire

Independent consultant and former CMO at Bloomberg

Maureen was appointed Chief Marketing officer at Bloomberg LP in June 2009 and held this role until June 2014.  She is now working on special projects in the Chairman’s office of Bloomberg LP, primarily in the area of diversity and inclusion.   From 2005 until 2008 Maureen was at Sears Holdings where she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Sears and Kmart.  Prior to joining Sears, Maureen spent more than thirty years at International Business Machines Corporation in a variety of senior marketing roles in the US and Europe.

Maureen won Fordham University’s award for Positive Marketing in 2014, was among Advertising Age's Women to Watch during 2008, was named 2003 Communicator of the Year by the Business Marketing Association, and 2002 Marketer of the Year by B2B Magazine

Maureen earned an M.A. from Glasgow University, Scotland and a postgraduate diploma in Commercial studies from Strathclyde University, Scotland.

She currently serves as chair of the New York board of UNICEF; is a member of the board of advisors for Catalyst, the non-profit membership organization promoting opportunities for women in business; is on the University of Glasgow Campaign Leadership Board; and is an honorary professor at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.
