Sara is responsible for all activities regarding talent aquisition, next generation talent and employer brand development. Currently, this includes the leadership of our Saltire Scholar Internship Programme, our Talent Matching initiative, and our Alumni development programme.
Her role includes aspects of strategy and product development, recruitment, marketing, stakeholder engagement, budgetary management, logistical supervision, operational planning and customer service.
Having worked at the Saltire Foundation and now Entrepreneurial Scotland since 2013, Sara has seen the team and organisation grow and develop over an extensive period. Contributing first hand to the growth and sustainability of both the Saltire Scholar and Saltire Fellowship programmes, she has developed trusted and positive relationships with our Alumni. A high point for Sara was working on the Erasmus Plus Partnership Initiative which created a set of best practice guidelines for prospective internship providers – this cemented the organisation's place as one of the UK’s most highly regarded internship programmes.
A Saltire Fellow herself, Sara spent three months studying and living in Boston, MA whilst undertaking the executive leadership course at Babson College in 2018. She comments that the Fellowship marked a real turning point in her career, and the opportunity to learn from some of the great minds at Babson was a real privilege.
Before working with Entrepreneurial Scotland, Sara spent a year travelling around Australia, New Zealand and North America. This experience taught her the importance of a global mindset for personal growth and since this opportunity Sara has been passionate about ensuring other young people have the same chance to experience this.
