Sherry is an entrepreneur, investor and advisor who currently Chairs the Scale-Up Institute, Founders4Schools and the Financial Strategy Advisory Group for the University of Cambridge. She is a non-executive director for the London Stock Exchange Group and Zoopla. She serves as a Tech Ambassador for the Mayor of London and serves on the Science, Industry and Translation Committee of the Royal Society. Sherry was awarded the CBE for services to entrepreneurship in 2013. In 2014 she authored the Scale-Up Report from which the Scale-Up Institute has been created.
Sherry has an MBA from Harvard, an MSc (with distinction) from the London School of Economics, and a BA (hons with distinction) from the University of British Columbia, Canada. She was voted the best CEO mentor / advisor in Europe in Nov 2010 by Tech Crunch. In May 2011, she was voted one of the top 25 'most influential people in the wired world' by Wired, as well as one of the top ten most influential investors and women. In 2015 she was voted one of the most inspiring women in Europe and named as one of the most philanthropic entrepreneurs in the UK. Philanthropically, she supports the Prince's Trust and the Crick Institute. Sherry also serves on the Harvard Business School European Advisory Council and the Advisory Board of LinkedIn.
