All Entrepreneurial Scotland (ES) members must adhere to our standards and terms of membership, which are set out in this policy. These terms deal with the following matters:

The integrity of Entrepreneurial Scotland (ES) and its members is key to our success and as such we ask that members shall always act in the best interests of ES and its members and shall not act in a way likely to bring the organisation or its members into disrepute.
We reserve the right to terminate membership in the event a member’s personal conduct falls short of the standards set out here. Members’ conduct is to be regulated in accordance with this Code of Conduct and support is offered to all members to achieve compliance with these standard
Members shall act honestly in all dealings with Entrepreneurial Scotland and its members and partners and shall not use the network as a sales platform
Members shall not knowingly make a false or inaccurate statements, mislead or otherwise allow those with whom they deal to operate with a false impression of anything relating to the busines
Member’s shall champion equality and diversity and shall not discriminate against anyone with whom they come into contact
Members shall treat all ES staff and fellow members with dignity and respect and are encouraged to establish working practices that safeguard against unlawful or unethical discrimination in the operation of their own businesses
Members shall uphold Chatham House rules in respect to information shared at ES events
This Code of Conduct is a guideline and does not represent the entire scope of good conduct and ethical behaviour. Acceptance of and adherence to this Code is a condition of membership.
Your access to and use of www.entrepreneurialscotland.com (“the Website”) is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.
When you register with us you must confirm you are at least 18 years of age. The details provided by you during membership application or at any time are important. The registered user undertakes to inform us immediately of any changes to the information you provided when registering by updating your personal details.
When you register to use EntrepreneurialScotland.com site you will be asked to create a password. You must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone. Please note that you will be responsible for activities and orders that occur or are submitted under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password, you must notify us immediately.
All copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in the Website and its content (including without limitation the Website design, text, graphics and all software and source codes connected with the Website) are owned by or licensed to ES or otherwise used by ES as permitted by law.
In accessing the ES website you agree you will access the content solely for your personal, non-commercial use. None of the content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, transmitted, stored, sold or distributed.
The contents of the Website do not constitute advice and should not be relied upon in making or refraining from making, any decision.
ES reserves the right to change or remove (temporarily or permanently) the Website or any part of it without notice and you confirm that ES shall not be liable to you for any such change or removal. ES reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and your continued use of the Website following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. Changes to terms and conditions will be notified to members through the members newsletter.
The Website may include links to third party websites that are controlled and maintained by others. Any link to other websites is not an endorsement of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.
The Website is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
To the extent permitted by law, Entrepreneurial Scotland will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatever (including without limitation loss of business, opportunity, data, profits) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website.
Entrepreneurial Scotland makes no warranty that the functionality of the Website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected or that the Website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or anything else which may be harmful or destructive.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed so as to exclude or limit the liability of Entrepreneurial Scotland for death or personal injury as a result of the negligence of Entrepreneurial Scotland or that of its employees or agents.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure that information on EntrepreneurialScotland.com site is correct, we shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the EntrepreneurialScotland.com site or any information contained on it or from any action or decision taken because of using the site or any such information.
You agree to indemnify and hold Entrepreneurial Scotland and its employees and agents harmless from and against all liabilities, legal fees, damages, losses, costs and other expenses in relation to any claims or actions brought against Entrepreneurial Scotland arising out of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law we disclaim liability for all implied or statutory warranties and conditions. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we, nor our employees, affiliates, agents or other representatives, be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages whatsoever including without limitation damages for loss of profits, loss of confidential or other information, business interruption arising from or in connection with the use of the EntrepreneurialScotland.com site or otherwise in connection with the provision of goods and services under these Terms and Conditions. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury.
We may terminate your use of EntrepreneurialScotland.com site at any time without notice if we deem that you have breached these Terms and Conditions.

ES Membership fees are subject to review annually and ES may at any time review and change membership prices. Members will be notified by email of any changes to their membership fees at least one month before such changes are implemented.
Annual membership fees must be paid in advance for the year ahead. For new members, all annual membership fees must be paid in full within 14 days of applying to join the network.
For existing members, their annual membership fee is due 365 days from receipt of their last membership payment. Existing members must pay their membership fee in full within 14 days of the due date.
Failure to make membership payments within 14 days of the payment due date will result in the membership expiring and withdrawal of all member benefits.
Membership fees can be paid by credit or debit card online or over the phone, by BACS transfer or by Direct Debit. For more information on payment options and terms please contact: 0141 444 7159
Members who pay their membership by credit or debit card can opt in to autorenewal, whereby your membership will automatically renew each year using the supplied card details. Your card details will be stored securely and solely for the purposes of membership renewal and will not be shared with anyone.
You will be sent email renewal reminders one month, seven days and one day prior to collection of monies and you can update and remove card details at any point. Please note that if no valid credit card details are held and you do not provide an update or payment card details over the phone your membership will expire 14 days from the date payment was due and you will no longer receive the member benefits. Members can opt out of card auto-renew at any time by removing their card details from their online profile on the ES website or by contacting ES.
For Members who have opted to pay by Direct Debit, payment will automatically be taken from their account one year from the date of their last membership payment. Members can cancel their Direct Debit at any time by contacting us
All ES Memberships last 365 days from date of monies received. While members may cancel their membership at any time by notifying ES in writing, we are unable to offer refunds for all or part of membership payments.
A full refund is available if notification of the intention to cancel is received in writing within 14 days from the date when membership was purchased.

We may terminate your membership of ES at any time without notice if we deem that you have breached these Terms and Conditions or our Code of Conduct.
Entrepreneurial Scotland bear the costs of the majority of events as part of your membership package. We ask therefore that if members are unable to make an event that they inform us by email to email@example.com as soon as possible or call the membership team on 0141444 7159.
Some of our events are payable in addition to membership, note that if you have paid to attend an event, we reserve the right to not issue a refund if the costs are already allocated or paid to the event venue.
Cancellations received at least 3 days in advance of the event are fully refundable.
Cancellations received within 3 days of the event will not be refunded.
This cancellation policy excludes tickets purchased for the Annual Conference or Awards Dinner or other special events, where payment and reimbursement terms are applicable as detailed on the ES website.
Photography at events
By attending an event we reserve the right to take photography and video footage at the event. If you don't want to be included in photography please let us know.
Contacting you post event
By agreeing to attend an event, we reserve the right to contact you post event. If you do not wish to be contacted, please let us know.
ES is free to unilaterally change the membership terms and conditions without giving further notice to the individual member. Such changes will, unless otherwise stated, take immediate effect. ES will publish changes to our terms and conditions on our website and notify members by email. However, members are responsible for keeping themselves updated in relation to any changes in our terms and conditions.
