Top Scots entrepreneur and investor Andy Lothian joins Entrepreneurial Scotland Board

Andy Lothian, Co-founder and CEO of Insights Group, has joined the board of the leadership development and membership organisation, Entrepreneurial Scotland.

Lothian is the chief executive at Dundee-headquartered Insights, the global people development group that operates in more than 40 countries around the world.

An EY Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016, Lothian is a member of court at the University of Dundee and advises its Centre for Entrepreneurship. In 2022, he became a growth advisor for Eos Advisory, the fife-based investment firm.

Lothian joins the Glasgow-based charity to support its mission in developing Scotland’s people with the vision to create the most entrepreneurial society in the world.

Lothian’s experience will support the charity’s two core programmes, their Saltire Scholars Internship Programme for entrepreneurial-minded students, and its membership programme for established entrepreneurs.

Speaking on his appointment, Lothian said:

“To create a prosperous and inspiring future for Scotland, we need to find and develop Scotland’s people who have the potential to make a difference. I feel privileged to join Entrepreneurial Scotland who are at the forefront of this.”

Lothian will join a diverse board that includes esteemed figures from business and academia, including Chairman Colin Robertson CBE, Richard Williams OBE, Principal and Vice Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University, and Celia Tenant, CEO of Inspiring Scotland.
