Throughout my 12-week internship with Crosswind Developments, I have gained skills and knowledge in a field of work I previously had no experience in.
In my role, I was set the task of researching the social impact of green infrastructure and urban parks, with the goal of producing a piece of work that will promote the development of a new urban park in the west of Edinburgh. This experience allowed me to expand my network by meeting various industry leads, giving me a greater insight into the work I was doing, as well as inspiring me to produce top-quality research that could make a difference for numerous people across Scotland.
This role has certainly given me a lot more confidence, working from home I was trusted to take the lead on my own project and to set my own goals and timeframes.
