Ashley Fitzgerald, Product Marketing Intern, Bridge Interactive Media UK

During my first weeks at Bridge Interactive, I have been involved in product marketing for the new Value Proposition Design Sprint package, a recently introduced service by Bridge. My internship involves various critical aspects of product marketing and other responsibilities, including market research, strategic content creation, customer relationship management, go-to-market strategy and gaining a deep insight of how a successful business is run. Bridge is a small team of six team members, alongside a range of freelancers and marketing connections expanding the business. I feel grateful to have landed an ideal internship for me as marketing is a field, I am really interested in.

Bridge team has been extremely welcoming and friendly, and I am really enjoying the professional working environment. Being part of such a great, close-knit team is an even better opportunity. I believe I will be able to make the most out of my internship experience and gain a deep understanding and overview of how every aspect of the business works. Another thing I think is important to mention is that, as a Business Management student, I’m really enjoying applying what I’ve learned over the past three years of my degree and using that knowledge in a practical way within a business.

I have learnt so much already, including:

• Training on Strategyzer: To refresh my knowledge on the Value Proposition Design Sprint, I completed training on Strategyzer, which was incredibly helpful.

• Learning Mailchimp: I got hands-on experience with Mailchimp, creating a new newsletter for one of Bridge’s major clients. I also conducted an A/B test for a different newsletter, and my version won with significantly higher engagement, which was a great confidence booster.

• Creating Landing Pages: Using Qwilr, I created two new landing pages for the Value Proposition Design Sprint package and the Go-To-Market package. This task was both creative and technical, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

• Content Creation: I’ve been actively involved in content creation for Bridge’s LinkedIn, brainstorming and developing post ideas to boost our online presence.

• Team Support: I’ve been helping the overall team with various jobs, learning about how they operate and manage their projects.

• Client Work: I assisted Bridge Team with client projects and played a role in the first trial run of the Value Proposition Design Sprint. I helped create clear messaging for the final landing pages, shadowing the team and sharing my ideas.

• Google Analytics Course: I’m also working on a Google Analytics course to enhance my analytical skills, which I know will be valuable for future projects.

These first few weeks have been packed with learning and growth. This internship has shown me how the concepts I learned in my business management degree apply in the real world, giving me a solid foundation to build on. I’m excited to continue my journey at Bridge Interactive!

Even my commute is inspiring, surrounded by other hardworking people on their way to work. This internship has made me realize I’m definitely ready for fulltime work after I graduate, and I’m really looking forward to it. One challenge has been figuring out when to ask questions and request tasks, knowing that Bridge is a busy business. But I’ve learned that I need to be confident and seize this opportunity to ask even the “silly” questions and make the most of my time here. The Bridge team has made it easy to feel comfortable—I’ve already made great friends within the team, and everyone is super helpful and friendly.
