Margaret Wu, Intern to the CEO, Hyble

For my first week, I have been attending different meetings, getting a clearer idea of the business. The exposure to the behind the scenes has been so interesting, an invaluable experience that is all very new to me. It’s been great to meet others in the company and at first, I was slightly nervous (a bit of imposter syndrome!) but everyone has been so welcoming. The company also has something called a “Hyble Huddle” every week, where the CEO gives a talk on reminding the team on the vision and current goals of the company, painting the bigger picture and strengthening team morale. It was very inspiring to see how he brought the team together to keep everyone focused and remind us why we do what we do, to stay resilient and dare to dream big.

One of my goals of this internship was, of course, to work on developing my entrepreneurial mindset. I’m so excited to learn and grow this summer.

For my first few days of settling in, I’m having so many surreal “pinch me” moments. It’s my first time in the US and I’m having a great time immersing myself in the culture, meeting new people and experiencing new things. It’s been such an adventure so far, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!
