Over the last 3 months, I have been interning with Ooni Pizza Ovens as a Product Design Engineer, spending time with various teams from Industrial Design, Innovation, Project Management and NPD. This has given me the opportunity to apply my relevant skills within each team but also identify where I would like to develop my skillset more in terms of graduate jobs and my future career - something key I was hoping to get out of my internship experience!
The supportive atmosphere here at Ooni has made it the perfect environment to learn and develop as much as possible, even within a very fast 12 weeks! In the early weeks, being paired up with a mentor in each team gave me a contact point and a route to ask lots of questions whenever I needed to! I've been able to build relationships within different teams and the warm and creative professional environment makes it easy to share thoughts and ideas and make a meaningful contribution.
As a recent graduate, I've loved joining Ooni and being able to throw myself in at the deep end, joining ongoing projects and helping shape and innovate new projects! After an amazing summer, I'm happy to say that I will be staying with Ooni and joining the Engineering team as Graduate Design Engineer!
