My internship has been a transformative journey that has significantly impacted both my personal and professional growth. Professionally, the experience provided me with a large set of multidisciplinary skills that have been crucial in kickstarting my career. It was particularly invaluable as a life science student, offering me a wealth of soft skills tailored for corporate and commercial roles that I had not previously encountered. On a personal level, working in New York City was eye-opening, helping me to clarify my career aspirations and solidify my desire to work in the U.S in a dynamic and diverse company. This internship not only broadened my professional toolkit but also affirmed my passion for living in a vibrant city like New York, setting a clear direction for my future career path.
Over the summer, I had the opportunity to contribute significantly to two main projects that have yielded impactful results. My first project involved building a comprehensive database that consolidated 20 years of market knowledge. Through my efforts, I streamlined the process time for initial proof-of-concept studies and facilitated the transformation of data into actionable insights. This success has paved the way for applying these methods to other areas, ensuring continued progress and efficiency. In parallel, I worked on boosting our LinkedIn presence. I designed animated graphics, crafted engaging copy, and developed a strategic social media calendar. These efforts led to a remarkable doubling of our engagement rate within just one month and established a robust framework for future social media promotion.
