Therefore, join us as we express our varying roles this summer.

"For me this internship has been an excellent experience; it has allowed me to apply concepts I enjoyed doing at university to real problems. Through this internship, I have decided that my aspiring career path would be in data and, hopefully, working towards becoming a full-time data scientist at some stage.
The contrast between a degree and a job is quite significant. My degree has opened many doors, but it is not something that defines me. To some extent, I hate the fact that I have spent such a long time on a degree. However, I am grateful for my degree and the different things I have experienced throughout my university degree. So, for me personally, I have a better understanding of the uses of my degree, and I now hold less value towards my degree.
Target is a wholesome little community that's continuing to grow. Everyone here is transparent and helpful, and we have many different team-building events throughout the year, such as the Ben Lomond trip for Kilbryde Hospice charity. There are many opportunities here; I started as an I.T./ data analyst intern, was exposed to development, and was allowed to go into either. A year ago, either role would've been a dream far away." ~ RongFang Li

"My enriching internship at Target Healthcare was a transformative experience from a knowledgeable aspect and a gratifying point of view. The thriving environment provided enjoyment in performing my work, contrary to what you would hear in the middle of a semester during the academic year. Nonetheless, I had the privilege to experience several roles, immersing in the likes of Cybersecurity, Data Analysis and even project management. I discovered my innate abilities. I became a pivotal team member as I seamlessly solved problems and communicated effectively. The workplace at Target Healthcare thrives with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and kindness. Observing the vibrant staff, I absorbed their dedication and passion. This experience not only illuminated the intricate industry landscape but also bolstered my adaptability and strategic acumen. By bridging theory gained from my academics to real-world scenarios, I fortified my skillset, reedifying to tackle future professional milestones with the same vigour and enthusiasm I've witnessed at Target Healthcare." ~ Omar Ismail

"I was very excited and somewhat nervous to embark on my journey at Target Healthcare as a Data Analyst intern. At the start, I was concerned that not having any professional experience in either the pharmaceutical industry or data science would be a hurdle. However, the team at Target Healthcare have been exceptionally accommodating, and I always felt backed by the Entrepreneurial Scotland and Saltire Scholars team. Working on real-world projects allowed me to use my knowledge and problem-solving abilities. I am now much more efficient and comfortable with spreadsheet editors, and I have a clearer idea of what skills I want to advance to develop even deeper insights.

I also had an opportunity to engage in initiatives that demand thorough execution, long-term planning, and the fast-paced nature of tackling urgent matters. Now I know that this blend of pacing is what I will seek from my future professional endeavours.

I have a feeling that I will look back at this opportunity to work with Target Healthcare as one of the most transformative and empowering experiences in my life. I cherish the fun time I had there and am delighted that I took this challenge, so I encourage everyone to give it a shot. I want to thank Target Healthcare for giving me an opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding and ambitious business amongst people who love what they're doing." ~ Nerijus Jasas
