You are responsible for organising your own accommodation. Here are our tips for sourcing a place to stay near to your host company location.

You will be paid at or above the living wage (£12/hour) directly by your host company. Shortly after your internship has been confirmed, your host company will notify you of the amount you will be paid and their own internal payment schedule. Please check with your host company directly to confirm if you're eligible for holiday entitlement.
My experience at IGS has been amazing. It has really opened my eyes to the variety of departments and processes required for a business to run efficiently, especially when scaling up. I’ve had the opportunity to learn and work with people from all walks of life, and have made some really good friends.
My experience as a Saltire Scholar was an extremely rewarding experience which allowed me to develop a great deal of skills. Moving to London (my first experience living in a city) was definitely daunting and a big step out of my comfort zone. But I ended up loving the city and I had the best summer exploring London with other scholars!
This is exactly what I needed after 3 years of education in the Software Development/ Computer Science field. I finally have the right idea of what it takes to be a software developer. I have been working with the Web team on the Front-End development using React, TypeScript, and the Test team, developing automation testing using Cypress. I have enjoyed every single day at Legado, it has been a wonderful experience!
During the last two weeks I have created and designed content on photoshop as well as shooting and editing video content and on my first day I created an email newsletter and sent it out to over 300 people. I have also spent a lot of my time researching marketing ideas and in meetings with my team.
My line manager gave me complete freedom on my projects and presented me with various opportunities to learn new things by attending daily production meetings, shadowing supervisors, and conducting weekly progress presentations to respective stakeholders. This has enabled me to enhance my soft skills. Furthermore, he was thoroughly committed to ensuring that I soaked up as much knowledge on sustainable lean manufacturing and business management and assured that I was having fun in doing so.
