MM Search Launches Intern Programme

MM Search, Scotland’s fastest growing executive search firm, launches its first Summer 2021 Executive Intern Programme with rising stars from top Scottish Universities.

In collaboration with the Saltire Scholar internship programme, run by Entrepreneurial Scotland, MM Search has offered two paid Summer 2021 internships to students from St. Andrews University and Heriot Watt.

The internships will see third year students Keava Low (International Relations, St. Andrews University) and Harry Browne (International Business, Heriot Watt University) take on Intern Executive roles within the firm.

The interns will focus on current ‘live’ commercial roles and will be offered behind the scenes insights into a number of large projects both within the UK and internationally.

Ken Morrice

Ken Morrice, founding managing partner, MM Search, said: “The Saltire Scholar internship programme is a fantastic chance for students to undertake an internship with burgeoning businesses and we are privileged to be one of those. As a current member of the Saltire Leaders Catalyst Programme, it was a great opportunity for us to be part of this initiative and help select interns for the wider programme.

“MM Search will offer a fresh perspective and a fully immersive experience for students that want to hit the ground running and see, and be part of, all sides of an entrepreneurial business. We are delighted to be offering these positions on a fully paid basis to two rising stars who both have a lot to offer. The tangible experience will give them both a huge insight into the industry and we hope a taste for the future. Ultimately, internships are a vital way to unlock future talent and working in the headhunting industry this is always front of mind.

Sean McGrath, Entrepreneurial Scotland, said: “We are delighted such an exciting entrepreneurially lead organisation as MM Search had the foresight to take not one but two of our Scholars on internships this year. Working with Ken Morrice, who is part of our Saltire Leaders programme, and his team will allow these high potential individuals to experience the inner mechanics of a rapidly growing business first-hand. We know from previous experience this has an enormous impact in terms of unlocking these student’s potential.“

The students begin their internships at MM Search in May 2021.

Ken Morrice joined the Saltire Leaders Catalyst programme “Conscious Leadership” in June 2020, the aim of the course is to learn the fundamental concepts, methods, and tools of innovation, growth and conscious leadership. Run by Entrepreneurial Scotland and Babson College, the programme has been designed to bring global perspective and international insight into the continuing professional development of business leaders in Scotland.
